Corporate Volunteering Opportunities

At Hertfordshire Mind Network, we’re proud to have built strong connections across our local community.

Keeping our eight centres well maintained is an important part of creating safe, welcoming spaces for those who use our services. Support with practical tasks allows us to focus more of our energy and funding on providing mental health support where it’s most needed.

Ways your team can get involved

We often welcome help with tasks such as:

  • Garden maintenance (e.g. weeding, fence painting, laying bark)
  • Painting and decorating internal areas
  • Decking upkeep and painting at The Sadie Centre

These practical projects are a great way for teams to work together away from the office, with a clear purpose and visible impact.

No prior experience is needed. All activities are supervised, with full health and safety guidance provided. We ensure there’s something suitable for everyone.

Why get involved?

Corporate volunteering with us offers a meaningful way to support mental health in Hertfordshire. It’s ideal for companies looking to meet social responsibility goals, boost team morale, or simply enjoy a day with a difference.

Your team will benefit from a refreshing change of environment, a chance to connect outside the usual work setting, and the knowledge that they’re giving back to the community.

Where you can help

We have centres across Hertfordshire in:

  • Borehamwood
  • Hemel Hempstead

Corporate volunteering sessions can be arranged at any of these locations.

Get in touch

To find out more or book a session, call us on 02037 273600 or email fundraising@hertsmindnetwork.org – we’d love to hear from you!

Free to take part – with optional donation

We’re an independent local Mind, part of the wider national Mind network. This means we raise our own funds to keep our services running – and every pound stays in Hertfordshire.

We’re pleased to offer corporate volunteering days free of charge. However, donations are always appreciated. They help us cover the costs of planning and running the day, so we can make the experience safe, smooth, and valuable for your team.

We understand that giving staff time to volunteer is a commitment, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support. Your involvement genuinely helps improve lives in our local community.
